Forgotten Cartoons

This is my shrine to some of those cartoons I saw as a kid. Whoopee. At least the ones that have no other home on the web for one reason or another. If I've found a better or more comprehensive site on the web for any of my faves I have either omitted it from here, adding a link to the better site, or linked it to my pages under the approriate section. If it's up, it should be somewhere along here, just not very organized at the moment. Bear with me, I've got about 10 web-related projects running at the moment and that's on top of the actual assignments. Ain't my fault no one else has come up with a decent Judge Dredd site, as far as I know, I have to try to bother with something as comprehensive as that, me, the girl who isn't even a HUGE fan, just a mediocre one. Shame on you, real fans.
I'll try to link up to the sites where I "borrowed" the pics up there from as soon as possible, too, my apologies for having nicked them. Thanks for getting them on the Web, people. :)

This isn't to say these cartoons would have necessarily been my ultimate faves, by the way, I'm just sacrificing since no one else/very few has/have, volunteering to promote them so they wouldn't be completely forgotten. *sniffles* Poor luvvies. *Grins* My two ultimate favourites were probably Transformers and G.I. Joe but they've got more than enough coverage on the web as it is, so here goes for the little guys. Cobra is of course the exception to that rule, gotta promote that. Oh what the heck, I love 'em all, just call me nuts. Guess I will be inefficient and add a little TF section, too. :)

The things I've been able to put up are from the notes I made when I was a kid, so some of the things might be slightly inaccurate, like certain lyrics which I've written down while watching the episode, developing my own kind of shorthand in the process. There may also be slight inaccuracies due to the level of my English skills at the time, but those should be minimal. What I have up also depends on what I've happened to make notes on, which mostly includes Voice Credits, character names, song lyrics and episode names, to varying degrees. I'm digging up more information all the time, and this is very much a work in progress so keep checking in from time to time.

First up I have to mention a Finnish animation from around 1967, called Kytskukka ("manner/behavement flower" would be an approximate literal translation). There were 13 different 5 minute episodes, each focusing on some characteristic like envy, friendship, naivete and such like, telling the stories from the point of view of 2 little pigs, Hinku and Vinku.
Hinku and Vinku

I saw this stuff as a kid and again last August on the Comics fest here, catching 8 of the episodes. We'd spent a LOT of time in senior high trying to remember what the cartoon was called, talking about Hinku and Vinku and Suursymri (="Eat-a-lot") and all the rest, so it was a real kick seeing it again. So much so that I just HAD to add these 2 little pictures from the Comics festival flyers here. :) I might even do an episode listing and such later if/when I find the time, such CULT material at best.
