Starcom
Starcom was a mid-80's cartoon that focused on the adventures of the group that fought
against Shadowforce everywhere in our solar system, though I think they had their
base around Saturn and thus moved mostly around there?
I'm doing this mostly from memory so if you notice inaccuracies,
do let me know and I'll fix it. Starcom was also a line of toys by Mattel (?), some of
which you might find via Super Toy Archive.
They seem to have most of the mid-80's toys there, anyway.
The reason why I'm doing this Starcom page in particular is that one guy who
emailed me concerning my old pages, where I had put up some Starcom-Quotes. He
stated that he'd started to think that he was the only person in the world who'd
ever seen the show until he found my quotes from it. So here goes, some more info
and tidbits on the show, what little I remember and wrote down when I was around 12.
Characters
The 3 main characters of the show were Colonel James "Dash" Derringer,
Colonel Paul "Crowbar" Corbin and Colonel John "Slim" Griffin. Dash was
a ladiesman brunette, Crowbar the nerdy-yet-coolish blonde and Slim the
regulations-following responsible black guy. Though don't quote me on it,
that's just how I saw it. My fave was Crowbar, though I usually don't
like blondes. The fact he kinda fell for Melvana, the Shadowforce token
female, may have gotten something to do with it, too...

Pictures
The only pictures that I have of the show or the characters for now are ones
by me. I drew the character sketches when I saw the show, meaning ages 10-13
maybe. They're done from videostills, look mostly like Dash and Crowbar, so
if you don't remember their faces you can try jogging your memory with
these. Sorry for the sideways look on Crowbar, by the way, will fix it as soon as
possible.
